Nat Newborn released an album full of swinging christmas songs: Red Hot Christmas.
Smoky vocals accompanied by a Big band and really sets you in a christmas mood.
You can hear my saxophone on the tracks but I also arranged a few of the songs. (AKA Joe Salomancini)

Lappeenranta big band 60 years //// 04.11.2015
I had the honour of conducting my home town big band as it celebrated it’s 60th year. We had excellent special guests with us: saxophonist Jukka Perko and singer Maria Tyyster. We were also joined by Tomi Salesvuo on the drums.
The concert hall was packed and the band swinging! A few of my tango arrangements for a big band were also featured.

Big band arrangements //// 11.08.2015
This summer I’ve been busy with several different arrangement assignments.
I’ve written big band arrangements for different bands. I also wrote charts for a upcoming christmas concert and rewrote some messy charts for a symphony orchestra.
If you want to order new arrangements for your band let me know! I might have the song you need already written, so you can get the charts very fast.
As you can see, writing music can be done even at the summer cottage. =)
Spring update //// 08.05.2015
It’s been a busy spring.
We’ve been working on some new material with Marjo Leinonen Huff ‘n’ Puff. Just finished recording two songs.
Besides HuffnPuff I’ve performed in several privat parties as a solo act and with different groups. I also have couple of arrangement assignments that I’m working on.

Composition contest //// 10.04.2015
My composition Soon I’ll be Gone made it to the final of the 6th Esko Linnavalli Composition Contest.
UMO Jazz Orchestra will perform all of the final songs on May 19th. It will air live at the national radio YLE 1. We’ll see what happens!
